Some claim that studying abroad has great benefits for a student’s home country. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Studying abroad has become increasingly common in the last few years. Some people think that Studying abroad is more than just education as it is a holistic experience than studying in a home country. In my opinion, both sides have their advantages.
To begin with, earning an international degree is not only about expanding your career and personal horizons but also about having an experience of a lifetime. Firstly, it brings international exposure. Studying abroad helps to learn new approaches to handle different situations, manage time between their studies and part-time jobs, experience international methods of instructing and deal with a cosmopolitan crowd. Secondly, studying abroad offers a variety of courses. Some also including research options and skill-based training for students. It helps to expand your horizons and opens up a world of new educational opportunities. Besides this, it is the best way to become fluent in another language and understand a new culture.
Many believe that living in a city offers greater benefits compared to life in the countryside. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
However, studying in my home country also has various benefits. Most importantly, it keeps the homesickness away from students. Learning in the local area can mean study in a different state away from family, but there are always easy travel options, and tickets locally are cheaper to go home. Moreover, familiar surroundings and familiar language also give a sense of comfort to studying the home country. For example, communicating with friends and lecturers, enrolling in a course, easy socialization. In addition, studying at home areas offer you the chance to experience a different city in your own country. It is no secret that there are vast differences between the various regions within one country, so chances are one can experience a cultural shock here as well.
To conclude, in my opinion, both sides of studying abroad or in-home country have their merits.The only matter is of expenses that differ much in foreign than the home country.
