New parents should attend parenting courses to bring up their children well. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Some people think that parents with newborns should enroll in parental training classes to raise their children in a good way. Before giving my opinion, I will discuss both positive and negative aspects of it.
The parenting courses cover a broad range of topics, including child development, understanding temperament, communicating with your kids, the dynamics of discipline, instilling self-esteem, teaching children values, meeting their needs, being a good role model, and more. As a busy parent, it can be hard to stay up-to-date on the latest scientific findings. So, it is mandatory to learn what you should be doing to set your children up for success. Moreover, parenting classes can help parents learn more about what to expect in the coming years and prepare for each developmental stage. Since confident, decisive parents tend to raise confidence, secure children, parenting classes can give you a much-needed skillset and help decrease your feelings of anxiety. Mastering the basics is well worth the time you might spend in class.

On the other hand, every family is different, and the situations in which the child grows up are also different. Thus, one rule is not applicable across the board. Another fact is that it is true that only parents can understand their child. Experts will only know of the situations or analyze the infants, but will never truly grasp the child’s state. Even parents need to spend time with their children. Getting to know them by talking and doing activities with them is always more wholesome than spending time at these classes. In such cases, parents are distracted and confused about whether they should raise babies with tricks only or not.
In my opinion, parenthood is not a game, and a child does not come with an instruction manual. It is a challenge, and you need to spend time figuring it out. No matter you do it on your own or by seeking instructions from experts.
