Scientists and technology experts seem to be more valued by modern society than musicians and artists. To what extent do you agree?
Scientists and technology specialists are assumed to receive more dignity than artists and musicians in the era of innovations and technological breakthroughs. Undoubtedly, this notion remains successful in keeping the majority in its favor. It is hard for me to agree with this statement at present because of specific reasons.
Science and technology professionals indeed get prime attention in modern society. The primary reason is that scientists and technology pundits invent tremendous technical applications, devices, or robots that make lives easier, save time and millions of lives, create jobs, ensure national security and bring economic progress. The only phenomenon behind these terms is the internet that makes the impossible possible. It has made the world globalized. For example, international business, traveling, even small doings such as cab bookings, ordering a meal, and shopping all terms have become easy by using only the internet. Apart from that, scientists do many discoveries with a sense of protecting and saving human lives. A case in point is penicillin, which we use to treat a host of bacterial infections.
In many countries today, crime novels and TV crime dramas are becoming more and more popular. Why do you think these books and TV shows are popular?What are your opinion of crime fiction and TV crime dramas?
The other change that brings across the world due to science is economic uncertainty. Let me clarify, in light of the financial crisis. It has become vital for businesses to deploy cutting-edge technology to gain a competitive advantage. Consequently, the increasing demand for revolutionary technology is increasing demand for scientists and technology experts. An example here is many technology-related companies in my country that hire a technology specialist with a six-figure salary. Another reason is national security that depends on science. Authoritarian governments have been empowered by high-tech weapons of oppression. They are a considerable threat to national security. That is why technology experts are of paramount importance to maintain national security. And nations who control these technologies control the world.
In conclusion, I opine that scientists and technology professionals are more noteworthy and appealing to our society than musicians and artists in terms of fast, easy, and secured life, as there are no reasonable arguments against the very phenomenon.
