Some people think that teaching methodology in the modern classroom should be based on experiential learning while others believe that traditional approach is still the best. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Give your opinion.

Experiential learning means getting people involved and challenge their thinking. However, traditional learning methods focus on transferring skills or knowledge from one person to another. It has become a matter of active controversy, which is best. I will stand by the former technique as it appeals more to me than the latter one.

Practical learning is an active, learner-centric methodology where learners put knowledge and skills to use in a meaningful and relevant fashion. It teaches the subject and transfers the knowledge immediately as increasing learner confidence, self-esteem. This method is used regularly in the scientific and medical industries because by experimenting with real-life cases people can grasp more effectively than reviewing the theory. For example, the doctor can get experience being in an operating theatre and examine a patient to treat without taking the risk.

Some people argue capital punishment is a brutal decision and should be abolished. Do you agree or disagree?

Moreover, not only in scientific terms but all subjects have to be evolved in experiences that mirror their real working experiences. This experiential learning is what cements their knowledge and allows them to test their skills. Another benefit of being experimental is that people can take immediate feedback from experts and fellow team members. The students try to self-monitor the effectiveness of their plans, anticipate outcomes, and develop contingency plans.

On the other hand, traditional teaching methods center on passing skills or knowledge from person to person. It is good and works well, but, is not always the best way to engage people in learning and activate their brains effectively enough to make sure the learning sticks. Less involvement leads to less knowledge that is assumed more dangerous.

To conclude, rather than the traditional one, experimental learning is worthwhile, in my opinion. It improves self-confidence, self-esteem and makes a person judgemental to polish his performance.

Scientists and technology experts seem to be more valued by modern society than musicians and artists. To what extent do you agree?
