Many people believe that the increasing number of cars in cities is the biggest source of pollution and waste. Others think that industries are the ones causing pollution. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

It has become a controversial issue among people which industry has a more negative contribution to the environment in cities, cars or industries. In my opinion, these two sectors are equally guilty of polluting the surroundings, but there can be some solutions to get rid of it.

Micro and macro industries in urban areas such as power plants, manufacturing companies generate the largest share of greenhouse gas emissions. This kind of pollution involves burning fossil fuels like oil, natural gas, and petroleum. Untreated gas and liquid waste are released freely into the environment. For example, in analyzing the Fashion industry, we cannot consider only direct carbon emissions. It also makes chemical usage, water usage, metal smelting, leather tanning, and fabric dyeing for production. These all factors makes the head spin when counting everything. It causes air, water, and land pollution, leading to harmful illnesses and loss of life all over the world.

Some people argue capital punishment is a brutal decision and should be abolished. Do you agree or disagree?

Moreover, toxic gases emitted from cars are giving a big boost to pollution along with the industry. EPA statistics show that greenhouse gas emissions from a Typical passenger vehicle are 4.6 metric tons of carbon dioxide per year. Burning gasoline and diesel fuel create harmful byproducts like nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide, and hydrocarbons. It increases the temperature and leads to climate change. Besides polluting the environment, vehicle emissions contribute to the formation of ground-level smog, which can trigger health problems such as aggravated asthma, reduced lung capacity, and increased susceptibility to respiratory illnesses.

In conclusion, both cars and factories are generally culprits for cities’ pollution. However, people can solve the problems by utilizing eco-friendly products and introducing new taxes for cars.
