IELTS Writing Task 2 Essay 13 Band 8 Sample Answer

Many reasons can motivate a person to stay working for the same company. Some believe that money is the main reason. Do you agree or disagree?

Numerous factors count for stimulating a person to stick with a single company for longer period. It is argued that the major cause behind this is monetary benefits. However, in my opinion, there are other more important reasons contributing to this stay that will be discussed in brief.

Firstly, recognition and respect are the main factors for a long stay. Great employees continue to prove themselves every day. They help set and maintain the productive rhythm of the company and mentor others. They step up when needed without being asked. In return, the great employee’s work and contribution earn them recognition and respect at all levels of the company, especially leadership. Secondly, such workers emotionally invested in their work and the company. It is a deep emotional connection that both the work and the great employees believe in what the company stands for worth protecting and fighting for. It makes the work that much more important.

In some countries, the widespread use of the internet has given people more freedom to work or study at home instead of traveling to work or college. Do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?

Moreover, Trust in leadership also encourages employees for a long stay. A company’s culture is a reflection of leadership. Like all long-term relationships, trust, fairness, Caring are the factors. Great employees stay because they can trust that leadership has their back and make the best decisions for the company. Additionally, employees are encouraged and mentored to achieve their full potential. There is something about being part of a team and company that takes helping employees achieve their full potential seriously. For great employees, this means having a growth path and opportunities that stretch beyond the horizon.

Furthermore, the Personal contribution of workers makes a difference as all have different talents. Some gifted and talented co-workers change the face of the company. So, in front of these all positive factors money counts less or at zero levels.

In conclusion, I believe money is not everything, but dedications, environment, security matters motivate a person to work in the same place for a long time being in their comfort zone.
