The majority of the educated population states that non-acdemic subjects should be eliminated to make children more conscious towards studies. I disagree that non-academic activities teach several values such as teamwork, time management, and leadership.

Undoubtedly, students who score high grades in academics are more likely to achieve a successful career. But everyone is not good at studies. Such students can explore their Interests and Create Broader Perspectives in other areas. For example, a student does not need an A grade in biology or Chemistry to be a successful singer, writer, or painter. Additionally, extracurricular give a sense of higher self-esteem. When children achieve success through the activities they are passionate about, their self-confidence will improve. For instance, if a student is interested in singing and take part in competitions. People’s shopping habits depend more on the age group that they belong to than other factors. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Moreover, non-academic moves provide Social Opportunities to students. Each extracurricular they engage in provides them with another opportunity to expand their social network, which will also come in handy when looking for a job. On top of all of the benefits of extracurricular activities, one of the greatest advantages these activities give is “real-world” skills. It involves goal setting, teamwork, time management, prioritization, problem-solving, analytical thinking, leadership, and public speaking.

To conclude, while studies are essential, non-academic activities are equally important for the healthy development of the students. There is no one-strategy-fits-all strategy at work here. Every student has a different take on the importance of activities in their life. However, most important is, find activities that are enjoyable and help to learn and grow.
